METER READER

The City of Sugar Hill has an opening for a part time Meter Reader in the Gas Department. The job requires working outdoor routes in all weather related conditions. The main responsibility is reading meters for gas consumption as well as cut on/offs. Experience in meter reading is preferred. This is a part time position averaging 20 to 25 hours per week and does not include city benefits. Applicant must successfully complete a background check with satisfactory driving record and be subject to pre-employment and random drug screening. GAS UTILITY - CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR

The City of Sugar Hill has an opening for a full time position as the Gas Utility - Customer Service  Supervisor in the Gas Department.    This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the staff in the Customer Service Department as well as the operations of Utility Billing, Accounting and Gas Meter Readers.  This position reports to the City Clerk.

The Gas Utility – Customer Service Supervisor is accountable for providing excellent customer service to the public, and for the utility billing, collection and effective administration of the gas utility software system.  Experience and performance in a utility department and with a utility software is required.  A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, but a combination of experience and education will be considered.  The full job description is available on our website or upon request outlining the nature of work and abilities required.
