Highway 20 Improvement Project: Hwy 20 Contact Points City Accomplishments: 2010 City Accomplishments  PUBLIC NOTICE West Broad Street Improvement Project Construction & Road Closures Please be advised that construction for the West Broad Street Improvement Project is in progress. Road closures will occur. There will be detours provided for your convenience. West Broad Street, between Whitehead Road and Level Creek Road is closed. West Broad Street from Hwy 20 to Whitehead Road is not complete but is temporarily open for the convenience of our citizens! Temple and Hillcrest will be closed to through traffic (local resident traffic only). Church Street will be closed to through traffic (local resident traffic only). Please park in the parking lot beside City Hall on Level Creek Road. These roads will be closed until the project is complete. Current Projects: Gwinnett County is completing the sidewalks from Secret Cove to Lanier High School. Parking is available on Level Creek Road for City Hall.     Gary Pirkle Park: A new concession stand with additional restrooms is being constructed at the synthetic turf field and behind the grand stands. Tennis Complex is planned to have additional parking, restrooms, putt-putt course and eight (8) lighted tennis courts.     EE Robinson Park:  Constructing new Maintenance and Storage Building – Construction starts August 2011 Roads & Sidewalks: 2011 Road Projects - Street Status (As of November 8, 2011)  New City Hall:  Construction to begin September 2011  Downtown: Storm water retention/detention amenity pond and amphitheater has been designed and engineered – Construction currently in progress  West Broad St. and Alton Tucker Improvement Project: underground utilities, pedestrian friendly wide sidewalks and road crossings, decorative streetlights and landscaping, new wider road with on street parking – Construction currently in progress Natural Gas: Relocating gas lines in preparation for the downtown district – on going Commercial Development: Tri-County Medical Office Click on the following link to view our completed construction projects.
