Gas Service:  (770) 271-2137     If you smell gas in or outside, contact the Gas Dept. or City Hall A.S.A.P.  According to the One Dig Law in GA, it is required that you call the UPC at 800-282-7411 before you dig to prevent any utility lines/pipes from being damaged.

 

Public Works:  (770) 271-2137  The following services are available to the Citizens of Sugar Hill who reside within the city limits:  Yard clippings:  Place all bagged yard clippings at the curb on Monday mornings by 7:00 am for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday pickup.  The Sugar Hill pre-printed bags are not required for yard clippings.  Limbs & brush:  Place all limbs & brush at the curb on Wednesday mornings by 7:00 am for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday pickup.  All limbs must be cut no longer than 6 FT in length and no limbs over 4” in diameter.  Wood chips:  Chips are derived from limbs, etc. ran through the chipper.  In order to receive these chips we require you to complete a form.   Street light outages:  please contact the above department.  Please call (770) 271-2137 for more information.

Recreation Department:  (770) 831-7413          The City has many facilities available to our Citizens for rental.  The facilities available are the Town Green Gazebo, pavilions at E.E. Robinson, Amphitheater and the Community Center.  Please contact our Recreation Specialists for pricing and availability. 

 

Sugar Hill Golf Club:  (770) 271-0519   Discounts are available to the Citizens of Sugar Hill.  A $20.00 Resident card or a $80.00 Gas Customer card entitles you to green fees and a cart for $29 through the week and $43 on weekends and holidays.

 

City Council     The City Council meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Annex Building next to City Hall.  A broadcast of the Council meetings can be viewed on channel 19, the 3rd, 4th and 5th Sunday of each month at 6:30 pm.

A “Special Bag” for trash is required and is to be used in the garbage and bulky waste collection program.  These bags can be purchased at the following locations:  Ace Hardware 4300 Buford Dr., Kroger 1605 Buford Hwy., Kroger 400 Peachtree Ind. Blvd., Publix 5885 Cumming Hwy., Quality Foods 4450 Nelson Brogdon, Publix 1000 Peachtree Ind. Blvd.  For bulky waste (less than 50 lbs) such as discarded furniture, hot water heaters, washer & dryers, or packing boxes too large to fit into a “Special Bag”, residents must attach:  (1) “Special Bag” to each bulky item so the bag will be clearly visible to the garbage crew on the scheduled pickup day.  Place your “Special Bag”, garbage carts, recycling bins and bulky items within (5) FT of the curb or roadside by 7 AM each Wednesday.  Call Shinall Recycling, for the disposal of hazardous material.  Call Robertson’s Commercial Division at 770-867-4367 to establish an account for the hauling and disposal of most types of non-hazardous waste.
